Episode #35 - ft Corwin Bermudez of Never Known
Corwin Bermudez - Never Known
“...I think part of the era of music I was coming up in - mid to late 2000’s metalcore - I looked at a lot of lyrical content and messaging behin songs as being good because it was addressing feelings and states of being which had not been fully put into words yet, but it was also this very self focused and self-centered sort of approach which I never really related to. Part of that was the fact that I went through my life in a fairly good position of privilege….I felt inspire to write about things outside of myself because I felt like I was doing fine, and that I was in a good position to be productive in other things. With regard to my lyrics in Never Known, I feel like my voice is best used to speak to my peers and people in the same position as me to say “these things are important and these are the things that you should be paying attention to” because you CAN and you HAVE the ability to influence them by paying attention to it..." - Corwin Bermudez
