"Orchid Garden" (Single, July 3rd, 2020)

Announcing the official signing of Canadian Post-Hardcore act, Colour In The Clouds, to Florida-based label, Mourning Records AND debut their new music video and single, “Orchid Garden”!

You can read the official signing and LP announcement from Mourning Records below:

“….Melodic hardcore outfit from Strathmore, Alberta, Canada sign with Mourning Records to release their upcoming 10 song LP titled 'Inosculation.' The band has been often compared to legendary Canadian metalcore icons Alexisonfire and emo revival spoken word icons La Dispute. ….” - Official Mourning Records Signing and LP Announcement

Careening into their debut signing with Mourning Records , Canadian Post-Hardcore Act, Colour In The Clouds’s latest single, “Orchid Gardens” vehemently channels the emotional passion and intensity of post-hardcore legends past into a new era for the band. Founded in 2012, the act is rooted in not only local influences such as Alexisonfire, but was also conceived in the angsty peak of post-hardcore culture, leading to the mature sound you hear today, 8 years later.

“...It's ok to be afraid
cuz there's so much to do
with not enough time
and I'm so tired
...” - “Orchid Garden”

Writhing through fervent screams and groovy cleans, “Orchid Gardens” takes on a softer tone than recently released 2020 tracks, “Elephant” and “In Melancholy”, yet maintains the staple fire fans have come to know and appreciate through their career. If thrashy Post-Hardcore is your sound, the 3 minutes and 48 seconds of “Orchid Gardens” is your next favorite jam, AND with the announcement of Colour In The Clouds’ next LP, 'Inosculation', the remainder of this wild 2020 is definitely starting to look up! - Nic B
