"Mobius" (Feat Javier Amador of Vagrant Son) (Single, Oct 27th, 2021)

Tantalizing riffs glide effortlessly over a groovy bassline as the initial tones of “Mobius” - the upcoming single by Luxrem, aka “Your favorite Prog Nerds from Miami” - falls upon listener’s ears. From the first note, this single captivates the mind, injecting an unbridled energy to the imagination as it builds.

The title, “Mobius”, is derived from the concept of a ‘Mobius Strip’ - a one sided object which assumes the form of an infinite loop.

In this single, Luxrem portrays, and emancipates, listener’s minds from the infinite entanglement directly associated with the cyclical routine of everyday life - eat, work, sleep, repeat - until death. Unveiling a turmoil within, vocalist Jonathan Sookdew Sing lyrically spars antagonist Javi Amador of Vagrant Son, as Luxrem revitalizes the mundane regimen of life as we know it with their tantalizing riffs and cascading tones.

As a rising act, Luxrem, prides themselves on crafting a captivating, yet regulated, blend of progressive rock and experimental metal to anchor their sound. Compared to their debut album, ‘Dreamwalker’ (2020), filled with gritty lyrical sagas and even more “controlled chaos” - if you will - “Mobius” is merely a natural evolution for the band as they mature in their craft. If you’re one of those “prog heads” seeking a display of instrumental prowess, Luxrem scratches that itch throughout, then appears for what feels like an “encore” within their closing moments.
